Habiganj District: A to Z information

Habiganj district was formerly known as Habibganj,. It was named after Syed Habib Ullah. He was the founder of the Taraf Kingdom state, a district in the Sylhet Division of northeastern Bangladesh. Habiganj was included in the state of Nasirabad from the thirteenth to the thirteenth century. Currently it is a district of Sylhet Division.
