Narail is a renowned district of khulna division. It is situated at south-western part of bangaldesh. Narail district was established in 1984. A feudal lord named after the city of Narail. The zamindars established a market in Rupganj, also known as a zamindar. Upazilas are Narail Sadar, Lohagara and Kalia. The former Thana Nargati has recently been converted into an upazila. The municipality is Narail Sadar and Kalia.
