Netrokona District: A to Z information

Netrakona is also a part of Bangladesh since ancient time. This famous district is situated in the northern part of Bangladesh. This district is in the middle of Mymensingh Division. During the reign of Nazareth Shah, son of Alauddin Hussein Shah the region was established. The headquarters of this district was located on the banks of the Mogra river which was called Nadirkona. From the name of this river the district was named.
